DevOps Engineer

Information Technology Strategies, LLC. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a DevOps Engineer to work for our company.

Summary:

• Client Agency is U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement
• Must be eligible for a U.S. Government SECRET Clearance or above. Basic requirements for clearance include U.S. Citizenship, a clear criminal history check, and no pending or recent bankruptcies.
• Will Design, develop, and operationalize continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and Continuous Delivery solutions. Will Support and enhance build and release processes through automation using a combination of processes and existing tools. Will design and implement DevOps solutions that leverage AWS / AZURE and internal products/service capabilities to meet requirements. Will support transformation of established infrastructure using automation; Support building new systems environments, and upgrading/patching existing ones, through use of automation tooling. Will provide hands-on support for the ongoing development of Infrastructure-As-Code (IaC) and support operation and maintenance team. Will develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures. Will design and develop reusable components, code and document custom automation frameworks, maintain scripts, and update these items as needed to build continuous delivery pipelines, ensuring rapid availability of the product. Will develop and maintain automated test framework tools to facilitate Systems Engineer testing tasks. Will research and recommend innovative, and where applicable automate approaches for system administrations tasks.

Requirements: 

• Must be eligible for a U.S. Government SECRET Clearance or above. Basic requirements for clearance include U.S. Citizenship, a clear criminal history check, and no pending or recent bankruptcies.

• Must have AWS Solutions Architect or AWS DevOps Engineer certification.
• Must have 6+ years of experience of build automation and release management experience in production environments.
• Must have a B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Must have experience building and releasing IAC in a controlled environment with an understanding of full-lifecycle configuration management.
• Must have experience installing, configuring and using various open source and CI/CD tools such as CloudBees, Ansible, Selenium, Docker, Sonarqube, Terraform.
• Must have experience creating Container Clusters using technologies such as AWS ECS Fargate or Kubernetes.
• Must have experience developing coding/scripting to build required automation and tools (using Ansible, Ruby, Groovy, Python, Bash, Powershell, Java, etc.).
• Must have experience configuring and/or utilizing monitoring/logging solutions for operations such as Cloud Watch, AppDynamics, Nagios, Collectd, logstash, or Kafka.
• Must have experience with version control systems (GitHub).
• Must have experience with DevOps concepts and automation skills.
• Must have experience with both Windows and UNIX operating systems.
• Must have experience web infrastructure fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.
• Must have the ability to understand and actively participate in SCRUM Agile methodology.
• Must have excellent debugging and testing skills.
