About the role:

As a Senior Data Analyst at Impact Investment Exchange (IIX), you will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission to revolutionize impact investing and drive positive change globally. Working closely with our experienced platforms and tech team, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of data models for impactful investment initiatives. Your responsibilities include collaborating on algorithm design, conducting data quality assessments, and ensuring the reliability of datasets used in decision-making.

This role extends beyond conventional data analysis, requiring you to engage in cross-functional collaboration with teams. Your ability to integrate data-driven insights into various facets of IIX’s initiatives will contribute to the organization’s overall effectiveness. As a valued member of our team, you will continuously learn and develop your skills in the dynamic fields of data science, machine learning, and impact investing. Your expertise in creating user-friendly data visualizations and automating reporting processes will be essential in facilitating informed decision-making and enhancing operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Platforms and Tech team to support the development of models and conduct exploratory data analysis.

• Contribute to the design and implementation of algorithms driving actionable insights.

• Analyze complex datasets to identify patterns and trends that inform business decisions.

• Derive actionable insights from data and present findings in a clear and understandable manner.

• Help automate data-related tasks to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

• Look at data through a business lens, understanding its implications for impact investing and social finance.

• Ensure dataset integrity through regular assessments.

• Implement data validation processes to maintain reliable data for decision-making.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data-driven insights into IIX’s initiatives.

• Provide data support to diverse departments, enhancing organizational effectiveness.

• Create visually appealing data visualizations for effective communication.

• Develop interactive dashboards using BI tools for real-time insights.

• Automate reporting to streamline data collection and enhance decision-making efficiency.

• Implement data pipelines and workflows for operational efficiency.

• Provide data-driven insights for research on impact investing trends.

• Contribute to research reports and whitepapers showcasing IIX’s thought leadership.

Essential Requirements for the role:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.

• 3 to 4 years of multidisciplinary experience in the field of data analytics

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for working with data.

• Experience in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Tableau).

• Experience in analyzing and interpreting unstructured data from diverse sources.

• Ability to communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.

• Knowledge of impact investing, social finance, or related fields is a plus.

Additional Preferences:

• Demonstrated experience in building and deploying machine learning models in real-world scenarios.

• Ability to work independently and demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Familiarity with data privacy and security regulations.

• Strong PowerPoint presentation skills with the ability to convey complex data findings effectively.
