About Us

The Metaversal Economic Foundation’s (the “Foundation”) purpose is to foster a new digital

economy focused around the Metaverse.

The “metaverse” is best defined as a network of meaningful worlds, objects, identities and

experiences that build on each other and the real world in ways that create economic value

or provide fulfilling experiences. This network will unleash innovative businesses offering

sophisticated digital assets, creating new jobs and expanding human opportunity.

However, all this potential remains largely unrealized due to technical, experiential, and

accessibility challenges. In addition, the absence of a functioning technological and

economic system that allows builders and creators to support one another’s work means we

are stuck with either very open and decentralized but non-functional metaverse frameworks

that major companies can’t use or popular but fundamentally closed UGC gaming platforms

with limited freedom to build major businesses on top of them. A fully realized practical

metaverse ecosystem is a network of many actors, all with their own needs and interests, all

of whom have to be able to credibly build real businesses.

Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Community Manager, with a focus on Discord

and events, to join our team and play a crucial role in building, nurturing, and engaging our

user community. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual who is skilled in

fostering meaningful connections, managing online communities, and promoting positive

interaction among users and developers in the metaverse.

This role is an individual contributor role with a focus on engaging the community to deliver

your target outcomes. There is potential to develop into a higher impact role over time as the

community grows.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement community engagement strategies, with a focus on Discord and other social platforms, to drive user acquisition, retention, and growth in the ecosystem.

  • Set up, manage, and maintain our Discord server, ensuring a welcoming and organized environment for community members.

  • Create and enforce community guidelines and moderation policies within the Discord server, addressing any issues promptly and professionally.

  • Manage and monitor social media channels, forums, and other online platforms, ensuring timely and effective responses to user inquiries, comments, and feedback.

  • Foster and maintain relationships with community members, including creators, developers, partners, and users, both within and outside of Discord.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver compelling content, campaigns, and events that engage and inspire the community, with a focus on leveraging Discord and Events to their fullest potential.

  • Monitor and analyze community performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to inform data-driven decision-making.

  • Identify and address community concerns, continuously improving the user experience and community sentiment.

  • Create and manage metaverse events both in digital space and in real life.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging platforms, and relevant digital communities to ensure our project remains at the forefront of the metaverse landscape.

 

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in community management, social media management, or a related field, preferably in the technology or web3 industry.

  • Experience within web3, blockchain, or cryptocurrency communities.

  • Expertise in managing and growing Discord communities, including server setup, moderation, and engagement strategies.

  • In-depth understanding of the metaverse landscape, web3 technologies, and virtual experiences.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong writing capabilities and a talent for storytelling.

  • A proven track record of building and maintaining engaged, thriving online communities.

  • Passion for the metaverse and commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and vibrant community.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote work environment.

  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in using social media and community management tools to measure performance and inform decision-making.

     

Role Location

The company itself is a remote-first business. You will have the flexibility to work in locations

throughout the globe.
