Data Analyst (BigData Team, AdTech)

We are looking for a Data Analyst in our team. You will be focused on various algorithmic/optimization problems related to the AdTech domain with the goal to improve business outcomes and help Data Scientist on the steps of data analyzing, dataset preparation, feature engineering, hypothesis checking and so on.

What You’ll Do


  • Perform exploratory data analysis to better understand environment, behavioral and long-term trends (Collect, process, and analyze large sets of structured and unstructured data)

  • Use statistical techniques to identify patterns and trends in data

  • Create and maintain data visualization dashboards and reports

  • Continuously monitor and evaluate data to ensure data accuracy and integrity

  • Design and evaluate experiments like A/B tests (including hypothesis testing)

  • Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders through clear and compelling data visualizations

  • Provide clean and understandable documentation about research and created production apps

  • Stay current on industry trends and new technologies to continuously improve data analysis capabilities

  • Support current algos and suggest new improvements to get better business results

Who You Are

  • Extensive experience in statistics and descriptive analysis

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL

  • Experience with distributed data/computing tools such as Hadoop, Spark, etc

  • Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages (Python, SLQ) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets (1B+ rows)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders using: Datadog, Tableau, Power BI, seaborn, plotly, etc.)

  • Self-motivated and self-managing, with excellent organizational skills

  • Ability to work and thrive in a remote organization

  • Upper – Intermediate English

    Will be a plus:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

  • Practical experience with ClickHouse

  • Practical experience with NoSQL databases (for example MongoDB), especially Aerospike

  • Knowledge of AdTech domain – understanding of online advertising, RTB

  • Knowledge of machine learning concepts and frameworks
