QA Automation Engineer

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer who shares the same values of pragmatism, professionalism, and transparency that we do. Working from anywhere in Spain, we support our clients in many ways and you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects.

You will participate in developing and executing exploratory and automated tests to ensure software quality. QA engineer responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts.) as well as liaise with various stakeholders (technical and business) from Codurance and our client’s teams.

Responsibilities
  • Determine, implement, and monitor quality metrics
  • Develop and spread the knowledge around Quality with all relevant stakeholders
  • Support developers to understand testing, implement tests, use tools and automate (not like a QA tester)
  • Focus on automation (design, develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools)
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in automation
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (speaking and writing)
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with quality tools (Cucumber, Selenium, Appium, sonarQube, Jenkins, among others)
  • BDD knowledge
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools and processes
  • Open mind around what is quality (adapt to the client)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Continuous learning (keep up to date with advancements in the market), curiosity

It would be a bonus if you also have:

  • Knowledge in process improvement, development
  • Familiarity with at least one programming language
  • TDD Knowledge
  • ISTQB certificate
