Day in the Life of a COE Leader

The Revenue Cloud COE leader is a senior-level position responsible for leading delivery personnel in providing best in class technical knowledge and solutions to clients. You are responsible for directly supporting the outcomes of our delivery efforts, supporting cross team design collaboration, and overseeing the delivery of Neocol Delivery projects. You also play a key role in developing the strategy and direction of our technical approach to delivering in the Salesforce ecosystem.

Scoping and Change Orders

Participate in Sales to Delivery processes to provide and obtain insights on a client by client and project by project basis. Deal desk, Sales to Delivery Handoffs, and mid project commercial changes require guidance and oversight to ensure team members and Neocol are set up for success. Provide support and insight to ensure we are correcting scope prior to signature.

Project Oversight

Ensure that end to end architectures are being established via standard technical reviews and adhoc reviews as needed. Maintain an understanding of each project within delivery and support status updates on a regular basis. Contribute to Sales to Delivery handoffs and support project teams throughout the project lifecycle. Identify and support resolution of technical issues and complex designs prior to escalations occurring. Support Neocol project resources with support and insight, provide additional support to client teams where necessary. Ability to support and fill gaps as needed on projects during times of resource outages. 

Delivery Process Improvement

Track areas for improvement and support initiatives in support of continuous improvement. Focus on internal operations as well as project approach and methodology for improvement. Identify areas of excellence and define repeatable approaches to improvement. Polaris and the various aspects of the methodology called out are applicable for analysis and improvement. 

Department Trainings

Define, outline, contribute, and deliver departmental training intended to enhance the abilities and knowledge of technical team members. Work with other directors and departments to formalize training paths and to support identified training.

Project Escalations

Support team members in their respective projects. Listen to concerns and recommend solutions or take an active role in correcting project issues. Define escalation paths and criteria when escalations are reported. Take an active role in driving the escalation process and ensuring that we have the right actors in place on a case by case basis. Establish a strong relationship with other leaders and directors in the organization to enable continued cross collaboration.

Mentorship

As a senior technical resource with ample experience in delivering and supporting projects, you are a prime example of what people should strive to adhere to in technical delivery. Support team members across various project roles, increase collaboration, and ensure that team members and project teams are supported as well as supporting one another.

Staffing – Technical Evaluation

Understand the Skills necessary to fill a project role and have the necessary understanding of technical requirements to support staffing of the right team members. Attend weekly staffing calls and prepare for staffing overages and outages, communicate staffing concerns, and ensure we have a well-defined set of work assignments across the Solution Consulting team.

Cross Department Collaboration

Collaborate with sales teams to support new projects and help to convey an increased understanding of the project efforts team members are assigned to. Work with Implementation, Technical, and Data Architecture teams to improve delivery processes and collaboration of project teams. Correspond with PMO to define areas of concern and improve project reporting and visibility. Report to leadership areas of concern and highlight actions for improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Salesforce Architecture experience
  • 5+ years of experience with Salesforce Revenue Cloud
  • Demonstrated ability to assist with project escalations 
  • Mastery consulting skills working directly with enterprise-level clients and internal team members
  • Obtainment of the Salesforce CPQ Specialist Certification Salesforce Accredited Professional credential, Billing Specialist Badge and Advanced Billing Specialist Badge 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and other members of the project team
  • Flexibility, adaptability and willingness to learn
  • Mastery consulting skills working directly with enterprise-level clients and internal team members
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business processes and identify potential systematic issues
  • Strong Excel capabilities
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Subscription Based Industry
  • Strong technical skills, including experience with SQL and other programming languages
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification, Salesforce App Builder Certification
