FAME an industry-leading financial aid software and services provider, is seeking a full-time Sales Executive to join our fast-paced sales team. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, confident individual with a strong work ethic and a proven track record in sales.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Sales Executive will report to the Executive Sales Manager, and have the following responsibilities:

  • Call potential customers and discuss benefits and features of FAME software and services
  • Generate leads in assigned territory
  • Follow up on and qualify leads from other lead generation activities
  • Seek purchasing decisionmakers to develop working relationships and assess the business and technology needs of potential customers
  • Conduct product demonstrations for potential customers
  • Develop trusting relationships with the client base
  • Manage the sales cycle through to close
  • Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals
  • Work closely with the Implementation team to ensure correct product market fit for potential new customers

REQUIREMENTS

  • History of 2+ years of sales success
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of the higher education market and/or software sales is preferred
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent phone communication and people skills, and a willingness to be on the phone consistently. Most of our sales are handled remotely, via phone interactions
  • Ability to navigate a deal to close, to overcome objections by finding real solutions for customers
  • Ability to listen to customers, analyze their requirements and ask difficult questions in order to determine how to best assist them with our technologies
  • Ability to learn complex business applications quickly and to apply recently gained knowledge within an ever-changing environment
  • Self-motivated and competitive with an interest in working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining an aggressive professional approach
