We are seeking a QA Engineer who can embrace our philosophy and share their expertise to develop breakthrough augmented reality experiences. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. Your skills in developing and implementing testing strategies, identifying defects, and collaborating with teams to troubleshoot issues will be essential. A strong technical background will enable you to gain a deep understanding of our AR and Platform technologies, as you will be responsible for testing and validating our SDKs, APIs, platform dashboards and other related components to ensure they meet quality standards and perform seamlessly. You will build and utilize automation to improve efficiencies in testing. You will be able to thrive in our dynamic environment, by prioritizing multiple tasks, while maintaining your focus on delivering high-quality results.
Salary Range: $100 – $120K US Dollars per Year
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop test plans, strategies, test cases and test automation for our SDKs and platform services, ensuring comprehensive coverage of functionalities.
- Perform manual and automated testing of AR and platform software, including feature testing, integration testing, regression testing, and performance testing.
- Verify compatibility with different devices and operating systems, ensuring a seamless user experience across supported platforms.
- Identify, document, and prioritize software defects and issues found during testing. Report defects to the development team and track their resolution.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using relevant testing frameworks and tools to streamline repetitive testing tasks and improve test efficiency.
- Continuously conduct regression testing to ensure that new changes and updates do not introduce new issues or negatively impact existing functionalities.
- Work with the development team to evaluate and track the performance and scalability of AR and platform components.
- Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to understand requirements and provide feedback on the quality of the SDK and platform services.
- Assist in the release process by verifying that software releases meet quality criteria and assisting with deployment and release coordination.
- Coordinate with any external QA resources
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of experience as a QA or Test Engineer
- An engineering degree or equivalent work experience that allows a deep understanding of AR technology and SaaS products
- Proficiency in manual and automated testing of products on web and mobile (Android/iOS)
- Fluency in a scripting language such as Python or Javascript
- Experience using automated testing tools such as Appium, Selenium, Calabash, etc.
- Expertise in Jira and Confluence
- Strong organizational skills, documentation and communication skills
PLUSES
- Experience working on SaaS products
- Experience working on Unity games or applications.
- Mobile development and UX experience
- Experience with and / or passion for Augmented Reality (ARKit/ARCore)
- Agile/Scrum training and experience
