We are looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist to join our fast-paced payroll team. This role reports to the Payroll Manager. We process US payroll for 350+ employees spread across multiple states. The successful candidate will have a flexible and collaborative outlook and be responsible for processing semi-monthly payroll. The candidate will also assist the Payroll Manager in reviewing and approving international payrolls processed through a 3rd party.  This role is also responsible for payroll-related journal entries and reconciliations.  The Senior Payroll Specialist will also provide support for ongoing payroll-related queries and audits.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll with complete accuracy for 350+ US employees utilizing ADP WFN
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll changes including new hires, terminations, employees on LOA and pay rates
  • Knowledge of multi-state and local employment taxesProcess employee contributions for 401k through Fidelity, FSA through Navia and HSA through Health Equity
  • Interpret, process, and maintain employee deductions (levies, garnishments, etc.) 
  • Experience with equity transactions: ISOs, NSO’s & RSU’sPrepare & upload payroll-related Journal entries through NetSuite
  • Prepare reconciliations for payroll-related general ledger accounts
  • Partner with the HR & finance team for payroll-related items
  • Assist with reviewing/approving international payrolls for 16 countries Support the Payroll Manager with ad-hoc projects as needed
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of multi-state payroll experience
  • ADP WFN experience (3+ years)
  • Experience preparing payroll-related journal entries and reconciliations
  • Excellent spreadsheet skills, including Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel (Intermediate Excel skills required, with ability to perform V-lookups and pivot tables)
  • Solid understanding of payroll operations including transactions such as 401K compensation and contribution funding and limits
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Support audit activities by keeping excellent recordsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to multi-task
  • Nice to have:
  • Experience utilizing FloQast for month-end reconciliations and tasks
  • Experience working with international payrolls
