Cloud Platform DevOps Engineer, Mid

The Opportunity:

As a DevOps engineer, you know how to set up cloud environments and provision computer networking, storage, and virtual networks—ultimately, how to “harness the cloud.” We’re looking for a seasoned DevOps infrastructure engineer like you to support our clients as they modernize their IT infrastructures and meet their most challenging missions.

As a lead DevOps infrastructure engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll oversee a team of cloud architects and engineers as they manage server configuration for modern cloud solutions. You’ll apply your skills and experience within a DevOps framework to establish or provision virtual machines or networks and use cloud service providers to further your clients’ meaningful missions.

You Have:

5+ years of experience in the development of tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments

5+ years of experience with troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving issues related to CI/CD pipeline failures or slowness

3+ years of experience with commercial Cloud service providers, including Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure, containers, serverless architecture, micro-services, Web services, and RESTful API design

Experience with deploying active AWS or Azure services using Infrastructure-as-Code technologies, including CloudFormation or Terraform

Experience with provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of software and infrastructure-as-code in a DevOps and continuous delivery environment using automated deployment and testing frameworks

Experience with deploying CI/CD solutions to Cloud-based environments supporting a continuous integration and development and continuous delivery and release workflow

Experience with developing API solutions using Infrastructure-as-Code and Cloud-oriented strategies

Experience working within an Agile and version-controlled environment

Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam

Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

Experience with development languages to build, troubleshoot, and deploy CI/CD artifacts to production environments

Experience with multiple CI/CD and Agile Development tools, including GitLab, Atlassian, and Jenkins

Experience with developing Linux-based solutions using commercial Cloud

Experience with deploying and managing logging and monitoring solutions supporting rapid deployments

TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

Bachelor’s degree in Associate Cloud or Development echnologies

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,400.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
