We have a rewarding opportunity to join our growing Group IT function, working as a Data Engineer in our Data Tower.
Reporting to our Data Engineering Manager, you will work as part of a remote, home-based team to deliver multiple projects across the business. You will use your SQL skills to deliver solutions on the MS SQL server stack, delivering incremental value through agile BI methodologies.
We will be making strategic steps into Azure, and we will offer learning opportunities via a structured personal development plan to get you up delivering value as quickly as possible with hands on delivery. As a team we are focused on BAU data flows and standard business change requirement, so we’ll need people who are flexible and up for the challenge.

About you
You’ll be passionate about data engineering, manipulating data to allow the business to build reports and make decisions.
You will be able to build data warehouses using Kimball methodology.
You will be able to demonstrate skills in data warehousing.
You may have proven experience with ETL and have extensive knowledge of the SQL language.
You will have a good knowledge of the Microsoft BI product stack (SSIS, SSMS, and SSRS) and some Azure knowledge would be desirable.
Good team working skills and clearly communicate solutions to both technical and non-technical people in the business
You’ll have excellent troubleshooting, problem solving and critical thinking skills
