Healthcare Staffing Credentialing Specialist

The CSR team is looking for their next Healthcare Staffing Credentialing Specialist to provide outstanding customer and candidate experience. The person in this role will be assisting with processing and communicating pre-employment checks, such as background checks, medical compliance including follow-up related to verifications for drug and medical screenings. We are especially looking for experienced people in the medical compliance and background check industries. Our ideal candidate will be someone who’s highly motivated to join a hyper growth company, comfortable with adapting to changing priorities,  can adhere to complex rules and policies, and never rest until the customer has what they need.
Candidates must be open to working potential evening and/or weekend hours as necessary, particularly for any prioritized/escalated customer need.
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Processing screenings for background checks using in-house and third party vendors and technologies with screenings in categories such as identity, criminal, employment, education, licenses/certificates, occupational health, and more.
  • Following up with customers and candidates to ensure rapid, accurate, and simple completion of background checks and compliance verifications.
  • Interacting with customers via email, live chat, and over the phone by actively asking questions and over-communicating rather than trying to solve a problem in a silo.
  • Responding to customer and candidate inquiries in a polite, friendly, respectful, and professional tone with urgency and accuracy.
  • Contacting vendors and data partners via phone and electronic communications to perform research and retrieve results from services ordered.
  • Participating in electronic communication channels on a constant basis as part of their daily work.
  • What You’ll Bring
  • 1+ years healthcare staffing credentialing experience
  • 2+ years work experience in in the background check and/or start up industries
  • 3+ years of relevant professional work experience in customer service and/or technical support
  • Strong technical aptitude with computers and technology, and using online communication tools for text, voice, and video when neededGood writing skills, great communication, and comfortable communicating in a remote setting
  • Detail and data oriented, analytical, self-motivated and driven 
  • Must be able to adjust to changing priorities as is common in a startup environmentAssociates or Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
