Our client is a leading Nordic insurance company listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange, with operations in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and the Baltics.
We are looking for a Data Scientist to join the dedicated Softeta team. In this role you will have to work with insurance data. Create risk and demand prediction models, create dashboards.
Responsibilities:
- Data preparation, querying, analysis & insights of transactional data,
- Risk modelling and demand modelling using GLM, machine learning, and other types of models,
- Model monitoring, dashboard development, data-driven app development, and forecasting,
- Deploying models, APIs and apps using MLOps pipelines,
- Other strategic data-driven initiatives,
- Data quality checking,
- Dashboard creation and automation,
- Data visualization.
Technologies – Python, SQL.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience, ideally in a company that deals with financial data,
- Have higher education in econometrics, statistics, data science, data engineering, actuarial sciences, mathematics, or similar,
- Have experience in statistical modelling, data science, machine learning, data engineering, MLOps, insurance pricing, insurance reserving, or similar,
- Curious & passionate about data & analytics and actionable insight, want to understand the causes of observations, able to independently find information, offer solutions,
- Experience working with Python, SQL,
- Be passionate about data and enjoy solving complex problems,
- Nice to have: PowerBI, Tableau, QuickSight.
