The Role:

Simple Technology Solutions (STS) is currently recruiting for an anticipated proposal for a federal contract. This position is contingent upon contract award and client acceptance. Please note that this is NOT an immediate opening. 

Simple Technology Solutions (STS) is looking for a Senior Software Developer to add to our team. With a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in software development, the ideal candidate will have a strong proficiency in Java Spring Framework, ReactJS, Gitlab, GitHub, and extensive expertise in building and maintaining applications within a DevSecOps environment.

The Senior Software Engineer at STS will:

  • Spearhead the design and development of high-quality software applications utilizing the Java Spring Framework and ReactJS.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather and define project requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Uphold code quality, performance, and maintainability through the implementation of industry best practices.
  • Harness the power of version control systems such as Gitlab and GitHub to efficiently manage and organize code repositories.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to establish and follow version control best practices, ensuring streamlined development workflows.
  • Architect, implement, and maintain applications on a cutting-edge DevSecOps platform.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Redhat OpenShift, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Docker, contributing to seamless deployment and continuous integration.
  • Showcase expertise in MySQL and Oracle databases, contributing to the design and optimization of database structures.
  • Ensure data integrity and performance through meticulous database management practices.
  • Integrate and adhere to secure coding practices within the software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with the security team to implement robust security measures, fortifying applications against potential threats.

Education and Experience:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven track record with a minimum of 7 years of professional software development experience.
  • Exceptional proficiency in Java Spring Framework and ReactJS.
  • Extensive experience with version control using Gitlab and GitHub.
  • In-depth knowledge and practical experience with DevSecOps tools, including Redhat OpenShift, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Docker.
  • Proficiency in managing MySQL and Oracle databases.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.
  • Collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Government contracting experience is a plus.
