Mindex’s Software Development division is the go-to software developer for enterprise organizations looking to engage teams of skilled technical resources to help them plan, navigate, and execute through the full software development lifecycle.

We seek a Sr. Java Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong analysis, critical-thinking capabilities, and problem-solving skills. Someone with a focus on exceptional customer service who is curious in nature, challenging the status quo, and striving to leave things better than they were found is an asset for this role. Strong skills in managing multiple tasks with the ability to prioritize, organize, and maintain details and the aptitude and desire to work in a highly collaborative, self-organizing, team environment will help you excel in this role.

Essential Functions

Understands customer needs and requirements; develops solutions to accurate reflect those requirements
Designs and develops technical software solutions
Determines the scope and methodology for testing requirements
Participates in cross-functional collaboration with other teams to determine dependencies and roadblocks to ensure effective and efficient implementation of solutions
Reviews and supports documentation of each aspect of an application as a reference for future upgrades and maintenance
Validates code quality as an active participant in pull requests
Mentors junior team members and provides technical guidance

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related areas, and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Eight+ years of software development experience in Java
Software development experience in AngularJS
Experience with enterprise development in an Agile environment
Experience with OpenShift or other contain based deployments
Spring Framework
MongoDB
Oracle

The band range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, education, experience, training, certifications, internal equity, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at, or near, the top of the range for their role; and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The range for this role is $90,000 – $140,000.

Physical Conditions/Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
