IIIT Delhi Student Receives IAPP Annual Westin Scholar Award

Indraprastha Institute of Data Know-how pupil, Samiya Caur, B.Tech Class of 2021, has been awarded the 2021 IAPP Westin Scholar Award.

The Westin Scholar Awards pay homage to the late Alan Westin, a foundational voice within the area of privateness and knowledge safety. 

With the rising want for well-qualified privateness and knowledge safety professionals, the annual Westin Scholar Awards have been created by the Worldwide Affiliation of Privateness Professionals to assist college students who’re recognized as future leaders within the area of privateness and knowledge safety. 

As a collaborating Westin Scholar Award college, IIITD’s Prof. Ponnurangam Kumaraguru “PK” has chosen Samiya Caur to obtain this yr’s award in recognition of her contribution, enthusiasm, and pleasure across the subject of privateness in his class CSE648: Privateness and Safety in On-line Social Media.
